PCI announces the selection of four Scholarship Winners who will share a scholarship pool of $10,000 – each receives a $2,500 scholarship towards their college education. The students selected to receive the scholarship were required to meet academic and volunteer requirements to apply. Each applicant was also required to submit an essay describing personal experience and how it’s shaped and influenced their leadership development. The scholarship is available to dependents of employees with three years of service to PCI Group that are attending college or trade school.

The 2016 scholarship recipients include:

  • Kennedy Concannon, a sophomore at Clemson University majoring in biological sciences with a focus on pre pharmacy. During high school, Kennedy was a member of the National Honor Society for 2 years & peer tutored a fellow classmate in Algebra and Spanish. In addition, she also volunteered at Cramerton Recreational Department and Ambition Ministries.

  • Nicole Galante, a sophomore at Elon University majoring in English with a double concentration in Literature and Professional Writing and Rhetoric. Her aspiration is to have a career in book publishing. She has volunteered with Way of Hope Ministry for three years.  Held the office of VP for the National Technical Honor Society and is a current freelance copy editor for Elon’s literary Magazine.

  • Brandon Kelly, a sophomore at UNCC, majoring in Business Administration. Brandon dreams of attaining his Master’s degree before age 24. He also wants to possibly run his own business one day. During high school, he served as VP and President of the Deca club, He was on the wrestling team for 4 years as well as the Captain. He competed nationally at the Deca conference in his senior year.

  • Kristina Tickle, a sophomore at UNCC, majoring in Criminal Justice with a minor in Psychology. She hopes to acquire her Master’s degree to become a forensic scientist or forensic psychologist. Kristina has volunteered at her dance school, Center Stage while in high school as well as performed 3-4 nights a week. She was the Camera Manager for the yearbook and currently is self-employed with Kristina’s Keepsakes. She worked at PCI Group this summer as a Special Projects Administrative Assistant in the Accounting department.
